Quit For Life Coaches

Updated on August 3, 2026

Quit For Life offers experienced tobacco treatment coaches with academic backgrounds in psychology, social work, and health education. They are trained in a program accredited by the Council of Tobacco Treatment Training Programs (CTTTP) and have a National Certificate in Tobacco Treatment Specialists designation.

During your first interaction, your coach completes a thorough assessment to learn about your motivation and confidence, tobacco use history, your experience quitting, and other topics. This assessment helps them collaborate with you on your quit plan, which includes setting a quit date, learning how to manage urges, getting the support you need, and creating a tobacco-free environment. Your coach can provide information about Nicotine Replacement Therapies (NRT), like the patch or gum, and they can help you decide which NRT is the best fit for you.

If you’re not ready to quit, your coach can discuss incremental steps, including building motivation, identifying support, and taking practice quits to help you build confidence.

Those who quit tobacco are provided with skills to maintain their quit status for the short and long term. Coaches support participants who need more time to quit or help those who slip or relapse get back on track.

Coaches also recommend online content that provides daily opportunities to work towards a successful quit, such as engaging videos, interactive activities, tracking, and feedback.
